Nitroenamels are one of the cheapest and most common materials, they are characterized by a high rate of coating formation at low temperatures. Nitroenamels form a coating with a high gloss when applied by pneumatic spraying. To carry out pneumatic spraying of nitroenamels at a low air pressure of 1-2 kHz \/ cm2, it is necessary to dilute the enamels well, which leads to a decrease in the gloss of the coatings. Such a decrease in gloss is due to the high content of solvent 647 in the enamel brought to working viscosity. As a result of the rapid evaporation of the solvent from the applied coating, the temperature of the surface of the enamel layer drops sharply, which in turn leads to an increase in the viscosity of the material, loss of fluidity, deterioration of pouring and loss of gloss.<\/p>\n
To increase the gloss of nitroenamel coatings, it is recommended:<\/p>\n
The high drying speed of nitroenamels creates certain difficulties when applying them by the pneumatic spraying method. In particular, in the process of painting, the layer of enamel on the sprayer gradually dries up – at the point of exit of the torch from the nozzle, which narrows the working diameter of the nozzle, worsens spraying, leads to the detachment of enamel clots from the edge of the nozzle and their fall onto the coating.<\/p>\n
For the same reason, when increasing the distance of the sprayer from the surface. that is painted up to 40-50 cm, the paint particles, evaporating in flight, lose the ability to merge into a continuous film when they hit the surface, as a result of which there is no spreading, a decrease in gloss, up to obtaining matte and even flaking coatings. Therefore, solvent 647 should be used with caution when diluting nitro enamels.
\nWork with solvent 647 must be carried out outdoors! Avoid contact with skin! In case of contact with the skin of the hands, wash with warm water and soap.<\/p>\n
